During the deployment of Windows Server 2019 into one of our Virtual Machines I encounter this "simple" but really annoying issue. As I work mainly with linux VM's I was not aware about this little trick, and after some research and spending some time testing I found out how to pass/access the VM with Windows Server 2019 after the screen "Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to unlock".

  • VMware ESXi 6.7
  • VM: Windows Server 2019

I will suggest you to open the VM in a new tab. 



Send keys - Ctrl+Alt+Delete


At the end you will be able to connect with Remote Desktop Connection, after you activate remote desktop inside VM on the ESXi:



And then we can access our VM directly with Remote Dektop Connection.
